The Scatter sisters
had a knack at whispering
'Twas part of their charm
Their story will crush
your own survival instinct,
leave you pale, ashen.
Their urges were bad.
Cooking children in the pot,
Gingerbread House gone.
First, they scald the bones
until the shards leave only
marrow to be sucked.
Next they fed the birds
to keep them trained against the
grain of wheat and rye.
Last but not least, they
upchucked on request in the
Vomitorium.
One was bulimic,
the other anorexic,
together they ate.
I'm playing with a host of others at The Sunday Whirl. I was moved by the words to tell a strange tale. I wrote it in the form of a haiku. This gives me an additional constraint that I have a lot of fun with.
Yesterday, with the snow melted, I had no trouble getting to a class I signed up for three weeks ago called Patchwork Pandemonium. We used grunge board as our quilting squares.
This is the one made by Debi McManus. This is the one we aspired to make. I'll show you mine as it is, in progress.
I'll show you again when it's complete. I have some stitching to do, framing and gluing.
I see no one showed up yesterday at
Writing On the Wall.
If it's not your cup of tea how about
spreading the word to your friends
who photograph architecture or graffiti.

Wow! Love that piece of art you are working on. I missed WOTW today. I will look at walls tomorrow.
What a fun story about the two sister!
You obviously had some fun with the wordles words, mixing bits of fairytale, legend and myth to make your wordle stew. Thanks for visiting my site,
Elizabeth

"whispering stories of the I"
You ask about that line. it means stories that's connect to a person. Whether it's gossips or that person real life. But both are not welcome.
that is one wicked ending attached to your poem.
Wandered over from Cathy's wordle entry and jumped write into your tale. Those sisters need some help!
I need to find out more about the grunge board you talk about...I will look into it - but in the mean time I must tell you it looks really cool. I have rekindle my love of quilting and collage over the last year, and am intrigued. Great to meet you.
